Informal Dance Showing (Free Event)

Come see what we have been working on in the dance department this semester! Two nights of performances and choreography. Each night will have a new line up of performances that will include student performances from Angier & Culley courses: Composition 1, Fundamentals of Dance, Modern 1, Jazz, and New and Existing Repertory. The repertory class will perform a work created by American Master Choreographer Yvonne Rainer and a new piece by AU Dance Faculty D. Chase Angier.

Its free, its fun, and its inspiring!

Check out Alfred University's amazing Jazz Band at 7:30 p.m., Saturday, December 2 in the Miller Theater. Selections will include up-tempo jazz standards, hot Latin, and some popular tunes all will recognize. Suitable for all ages and open to the public. FREE ADMISSION!

Winter Choral Concert (Free Event)

Join the University Chorus, Chamber Singers and the Alfred Volunteer Choir Company for an evening of choral music. The concert will feature a preview of two movements of the Haydn "Theresa" Mass which will be presented in full in the spring along with beautiful works by Stephen Paulus, Ola Gjello and Eric Whitacre.
The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. in the Alfred Seventh Day Baptist Church and is free.

Join our AU student musicians for an afternoon of music. The recital features students studying flute and clarinet with Rachel Decker, voice with Rebecca Weaver and Luanne Crosby and guzheng with Daisy Wu.
All students are accompanied by our wonderful new instructor of piano, Kurt Galvan.
The recital begins at 3:00 p.m. in Howell Hall and will be followed by light refreshments.

Jr. String Concert Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7:00 in Miller Theater (Free Event)

The Alfred University Junior String Program will present their annual Winter Concert Tuesday, Dec. 12 at 7:00 pm in Miller Theater. The concert features the Junior String Ensemble as well as the younger Suzuki String Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Lisa Lantz, founder of the program now entering its 20th season. Violinists Grace Lee, Candy Zhou and Isabel Metz will perform solo works accompanied by the very talented Caroline Ding. The public is invited and families with young children are especially encourage to attend. A reception will follow in Miller Lobby.
