Environmental Studies & Geology

Our unique perspective
By combining the complementary disciplines of Environmental Studies and Geology into a single division, Alfred University offers students a unique perspective on their studies. Both disciplines involve the study of the earth and human interaction with this planet we call home. Geology majors and minors concentrate on the physical earth, while Environmental Studies majors and minors study the physical, biological, and social aspects of humans and their interaction with the environment.
