At Alfred University, we offer two years of Arabic language and culture, as well a Topics courses on various subjects related to the Arabic-speaking world. Classes are taught by native Arabic speakers sponsored by the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant Program. In the first year, students are introduced to the Arabic alphabet and practice basic skills in speaking, listening, writing and reading. In the second year, they further develop their intercultural communicative competence in Arabic. Students are encouraged to participate in the extracurricular activities of the Arabic Club.
