Bringing the world to our community
Students at Alfred University have the option of living in the Language House, located at 12 Park Street. The Language House creates an immersion experience for its residents. Every year the House represents one of the languages taught in the Division of Modern Languages. Alfred students in language courses have the opportunity to live with an international Teaching Assistant and other language students. Our international Teaching Assistant fosters an authentic cultural and linguistic experience for students in the language program. Before, after or in lieu of a study abroad experience, living in the Language House opens/provides a space to develop your fluency. The Language House also hosts a variety of events in other languages: foreign films, discussion groups, dinners, games, lectures...
