Background
Professional Experience

An Equity actor, director and writer, he has worked professionally in New York, Los Angeles and in regional theatres, most notably the Guthrie Theatre in Minneapolis.

Mr. Crosby has appeared in film and on PBS television, including The School for Scandal, part of the popular “Theatre in America” series. Stage performing credits include Oedipus in Oedipus, Harpagon in The Miser, Banquo in Macbeth, and Bottom in A Midsummer Night's Dream. In the last two years, he has returned to the stage as an actor, playing the role of Scrooge in A Christmas Carol and performing and touring Alaska with the Fairbanks Shakespeare Festival.

Prior to coming to Alfred, he taught at Kalamazoo College, Gustavus Adolphus College and the University of Alaska, where he organized a Native Alaskan Theatre program which toured nationally and internationally presenting original works based on cultural and social issues. He has also been a faculty member for the Semester at Sea program.

Alfred productions he has directed include Metamorphoses, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Fiddler on the Roof, Buried Child, Into the Woods, De Donde?, and many others.
